Spatial Scientist

I work in Location Intelligence. Thats is, I transform location data into actionable insights and visualisations, mainly for major events but for other things to. Still 🤷? Check out my work below, it’s more than map making (but yes, I have made lots of maps). I work solo or with a network of other consultants - resourced as needed for the project.

Some of my work 👇

Womens World Cup 2023 Provided geospatial data management and mapping strategy and mapping production to coordinate completion of venue transport plans. Key deliverables included:
Interactive stadium and airport maps accessed via QR codes on VAPPs.
Cloud-hosted maps with Google Maps integration to support real-time navigation for client groups.
Our mapping solutions ensured seamless venue access and efficient event operations.

Gold Coast Commonwealth Games 2014 Engaged by the transport team at the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games Organising Committee to share insights and lessons learned from our work on the Glasgow Commonwealth Games. Then contracted to develop cartographic standards and produce mapping products for public communications, consultations, and media releases on transport plans and event routes.

COP 26 2021 United Nations Climate Change Conference
Provided mapping services to support the implementation and management of the master delivery schedule for COP26. Mapping outputs help coordinate site activities while minimizing environmental impact. Through detailed mapping, visualized site operations, logistics, and infrastructure planning to ensure efficient event management and sustainability compliance.

Tottenham Hotspur FC Northumberland Development Project Developed a web mapping application support to communicate the transport planning process to key stakeholders for the redevelopment of Tottenham Hotspur FC Stadium. Map design and production communicate new travel routes for spectators and client groups to enhance the fan experience on matchdays and event days. Ticket Holder spatial analysis to support travel demand management.

Tour de France Grand Depart 2014 Provided spatial analysis to support event day operations and community engagement for the UK Grand Départ. Our mapping identified residents and businesses affected by the event, helping to shape communication strategies. We also analyzed volunteer locations to optimize role assignments, ensuring efficient event support and smooth operations.

Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games provided consultancy on geospatial data management, analysis, and mapping strategy for the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games. Work included training of full time mapping staff, spatial analysis, data translation, and mapping support for key areas such as Security, Transport, City Operations, and the Queen’s Baton Relay.

London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games From the early infrastructure development post bid to competition event operations, played a key role in spatial data strategy, design standards, and mapping production for LOCOG and its delivery partners. An integrated approach combined GIS, CAD, and graphic design to support public communications, operational planning, and client publications across all functional areas.
